OUR WORKS OF POETRY
A Gracious Gratitude to the Almighty for His Pretzel Provisions
O gracious Lord our God on high,
Thou hast bestowed a gift so grand,
For which we thank thee with a sigh:
The salty, twisted, twisted pretzel stand!
From the crunch to the salty taste,
We cannot deny the flavor great,
The joy of sharing with a friend,
That is a gift that cannot end.
Thou hast blessed us with this treat,
That brings us joy with each bite we eat,
The bliss of a pretzel shared,
A pleasure so divinely declared.
For this we thank thee, Lord above,
For the gift of pretzels with thy love,
For the pleasure therein found,
That we may savor without a sound.
A Song of Salted Joy: How Pretzels Unleashed Bliss Unto Mine
Thou art my light,
My heart in joy,
For thou hast brought pretzels to this life.
My days of woe,
My sorrows past,
Thou bringst contentment here at last.
My life was grey,
I knew no bliss,
But now I know the joy of this.
Thou hast erased
My sadness' trace,
And filled my life with mirth and grace.
No more I'll pine
For days of old,
When pretzels were not to behold.
Thou hast provided
A way to be,
Where sorrows no more can trouble me.
A Salty Reunion: How Pretzels Revived a Fading Union
Twists of salty pleasure,
A savory surprise,
A sweet and simple pleasure
To soothe a troubled rise.
A marriage in distress,
A love in decline,
A pair of hearts so desperate
For a chance to intertwine.
But then a pretzel came,
A simple brown delight,
That brought a smile to their faces
From morning ‘til night.
The salty treat was shared,
Each bite taken with care,
And soon enough the love they had
Rekindled in the air.
The pretzel had saved the day,
The marriage was saved,
It didn't take much more
Than a small twist of fate.
